Moldable UV-transmitting glass

With the development of UV-LED light sources, LED light sources are now being used in the fields of "disinfection" and "sterilization." The wavelength range required in these fields is shorter than the 365 nm that was mainstream for conventional UV-LEDs. In response to this growing need, Isuzu Glass has been developing glass that transmits short-wavelength ultraviolet light.

The IHU200 and IHU200LM, which have recently been completed and available for purchase, is a product with high transmittance in the UV-C wavelength range. Like the current IHU250, they can be molded into aspherical lenses, lens arrays, and lenses of various shapes. Under few options for materials that can be used in the ultraviolet range, please consider using this as a new glass material.

IHU200 and IHU200LM have different expansion coefficients.
Customization is also possible according to customer requests.
Ingot material, block material, and preform material (ball lens) are available.
Applications: UV sterilization, UV treatment, lithography, space industry, etc.
